A: All benefits are immediate, with the exception of legal
aid. Your legal aid is not effective until thirty (30) days after
your effective membership date. It is typically the 1st day of
the following month (If you are read in at the June 2009
meeting, your membership is effective July 1, 2009. Your
legal aid begins August 1, 2009.)
