A: Yes, dispatchers and other department personnel are welcome
to join the Eastern Missouri Coalition of Police, Lodge 15. As an
EMCOP Lodge 15 member, you will be eligible for most of our
membership benefits, including full legal aid coverage and
collective bargaining assistance. However, because the Fraternal
Order of Police requires full-time employment as a law
enforcement officer for membership, you will not be a member of
the FOP and therefore would not qualify for State or National FOP
benefits. Please contact the Lodge for further information
regarding the difference in benefits.
